You hear a theme often in sports “Trust the Process”. Trusting the process means the coach has a plan in place to develop his players in such a way as to maximize their full potential. The results of the players development should translate into wins and ultimately a championship.
We too are living to win the title. I Corinthians 9:24-27 says, “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”
I tell you fellow believer, “Trust the Process.” God does have a plan for you to prosper, to give you a hope and a future. However, this will not be handed over to you on a silver platter while you lay in leisure and unabated pleasure. Instead, your success, your wins in life that will lead to your championship will be hewn and forged out of struggle. The process will include and require you to endure a radical transformation of your character. The transformation will cause a binding leash on your tongue, a tempering of your resolve, and a humbling of your ego. However, your strength will be built, your patience stretched, and your motives examined. God will give you an infusion of tenacity, supernatural deliverance of your destructive hang-ups and habits and the developing of a resilient faith.
James 1:2-4 says, “My brethren count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing.”
No matter what you are going through, if you follow and trust the process, you will win! You are a champion.
