Fighting the Flesh

Are you too busy seeking after “things” of the world or seeking after the things of God? He will not compete for our attention; this is why Christian Discipline is so necessary. It allows us to develop a stronger relationship with God. It is not easy because we are fighting the flesh who doesn’t want to surrender. We have to pray, which is a discipline in itself; a discipline we often tend to neglect. Philippian 4:13 says, we can do all things because our inner strength comes through Christ. How we choose to spend our time is important. God has much for us to do here on earth, and Paul is saying we must depend on Christ and his power to accomplish God’s will. Do not let “flesh” stop you from doing what God called you to do.
