Count It All Joy

By Marilyn Kyere

One of my favorite Bible verses is James 1: 2 and it states, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.” The Christian life is filled with joy, happiness and love, but it also involves trials and tribulations at times. As you encounter the battles in your life, know that you will not be alone. God will be with you every step of the way. He will be with you when you are at your worst just as He will be with you when you are at your best. We serve a mighty God!

Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto nations.” If God knew you before you were born, then He already knew about the trials you are going through right now. He has already prepared the VICTORY for you. Be patient and build up on your faith when going through challenging times. During your trials and tribulations, deepen your love of God by reading the word of God and praying fervently.

My pastor often states that as a Christian, you should know you are a target of Satan and when you are not experiencing any attacks, you should be concerned! At first you will think that sounds strange, but it makes sense after you ponder on it. So yes, the next- time that a trial comes, smile and worship God, knowing that, “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him.”
